The Wacom Cintiq 24HD, Cintiq 21UX, Cintiq 12WX and the latest model, the Cintiq 24HD Multi-Touch, are considered the top of the line models for any graphic professional. I highly recommend these tablets for people who work on illustrations, animations or Photoshop daily. If you do not, I strongly urge you to consider a Wacom Bamboo or Intuos4 instead. Both of those links will take you to my reviews of those tablets. Reviews of the new Cintiq 24HD Multi-Touch screen will be posted soon!
The main differences between the Cintiq 24HD, 21UX and 12WX tablets are:
- Physical and active screen size
- Number of Touch Strips and ExpressKeys
- Number of nibs
- Resolution
- Pressure sensitivity
- Price
What’s the same?
- Grip pen that has an eraser.
- Ability to rotate
- Pen and display stands included
Since the three don’t have much in common, it all boils down to size really. Based on my reviews, I think you’ll find it easier to decide which Wacom Cintiq to buy.
